It's a wicked world, so what the hell? I have always been trapped in the moment. Always lost in trying to figure out what everything means. It's like counting the lines painted onto the pavement of the highway. Sure I'm still going somewhere, but I never got to appreciate the journey, and was too busy trying to find meaning or reason in the most trivial things.
I have taken a step back. I have tried to take everything as it comes and allow for the truly significant. For as long as I can remember I have been looking to be moved by the intricacies of life. I've stopped searching so desperately and have finally started to appreciate them.
I am looking for someone to share a moment, a day, a lifetime with; I'm not preoccupied with worrying about which. The world is too brutal to worry about the future. The world is too beautiful to forget about the present.
I have grown into a pretty good man with a good heart. Perhaps I have been too quick to give that heart away in the past, but it is still there waiting to be taken.
